Coach trip to Lakenheath stopping at  the Road side Cafe for Elevenses .

On Arrival for our booked tour of the airfield, and given the understanding it is fully operational. We were quickly told that the RAF Lakenheath had closed down, for 2 weeks for Maintenance, and Runway repairs, including the F15 Jets, sent to stations in other Country abroad.

But the Staff did there best to show us round, many interesting sections and we all enjoyed the tour .
